Have you heard of CRB? It's the UK bureau that does background checks on anyone who is around children or "vulnerable" adults.
Is this sound public policy or some kind of Megan's Law/Scarlet Letter gone wild?
When I taught high school, I was subject to fingerprints and an FBI background check, but this seems more intense and far reaching than that.
The more I watch the UK, the more I think they are honestly losing their minds as a society.
And I say that without a trace of irony.
